Wills at Work
A vast number of the UK population die without leaving a Will which can mean your assets being distributed in accordance with the law rather than your wishes. By making a Will you can directly choose who your property and assets pass to, ensuring the protection of your loved ones from uncertainty.
In our busy working day it is often easy to forget or put off making a Will. Our ‘Wills at Work’ scheme enables you to take a caring interest in your staff by helping them to create their Will or Lasting Power of Attorney whilst at work. Our Wills at Work scheme is free to you the employer with our solicitors agreeing to:
-
arrange a convenient date with you to attend your offices (i.e. a lunch hour)
-
provide a brief presentation to your staff regarding the importance of making a Will
-
run back-to-back appointments for your staff to take instructions and discuss their personal circumstances
-
offer advice on creating a Lasting Power of Attorney
This scheme provides your staff with a unique opportunity to take advantage of expert legal advice at our corporate discounted rate. Please click here for our current Schedule of fees.
By offering this ‘Will at Work’ scheme you, as an employer, are making real progress in your social responsibility towards your staff. Your staff will be made aware of the importance of personal estate and health planning, how to potentially reduce their liability for Inheritance tax; and make provisions for family, friends and vulnerable loved ones.
We will work closely with your HR department to help promote the day providing leaflets and posters for your notice boards and wording for newsletters and emails.
We strongly believe all employers and their employees can really benefit from the ‘Wills at Work’ scheme.
